  I hope your weekend went well, mine was Awesome. I installed the window you and your team created. It is GORGEOUS!!

  Derek, early on when we discussed measurements, I requested the final window be 1” thick. You let me know that at most, these window typically don’t go any thicker than 7/8” and that you would construct my window with a 7/8” thickness. When I got home last night, I measured the thickness of the glass and it was 11/16”, 3/16” less than what I expected and 5/16” thinner than the window I was replacing.

  This turned out to be a benefit, because the “gap” that I already knew I was going to have to accommodate would have been more difficult to fill as opposed to the gap that needed filling.

  As promised, here is a photograph of the installed stained glass window. We are thrilled with the window and the light it produces when the sun strikes it! The window is an anniversary gift to each other. We were particularly surprised and impressed by the magnificent shipping crate (bullet-proof and practical design complete with handle). Normally, we would discard shipping containers but yours is a keeper. We have no idea how we will use it but we won't discard it -- too well thought-out.

  Hi Rae, Thank you so much for your help with my window order. I've attached 3 photos of the room where the new windows will be installed. One is of the original windows with the leaded glass (that I am keeping), note that the glass is flat and not beveled. The second photo is of one of the windows I am replacing.   It took us some time to install this beautiful stained glass into position as we were delayed in getting new windows installed in home.

  However, we now have it in position in a window that overlooks our outdoor kitchen and bar, which was the original intent. It is back lit with remote control led lights, and as you can see, it shows very well from the table or from our bar area.

  We are very pleased with it!
