One is of the original windows with the leaded glass (that I am keeping), note that the glass is flat and not beveled. The second photo is of one of the windows I am replacing.   Well, we don't get California sunsets around here, but the sun just happened to be directly behind the lily window and it did make some nice light effects.
  Taking pictures from different angles gave a nice photo effect. The sun window is on the other side of the house, so the sun won't shine directly through it, ironically.
